VENEERS

COMPOSITE VENEERS

One of the most effective and efficient restorative treatments available to repair minor blemishes including chips, cover permanent stains or close spaces between teeth is composite veneers.

The composite veneer is a resin tooth coloured filling material comprising of silica, quartz and fine glass-like particles mixed to a paste consistency. It is able to be colour matched to your natural tooth shade and also utilised to strengthen teeth.

Requiring true artistic skill, composite veneers are applied to the surface of your teeth and sculpted to the perfect shape, blending seamlessly with your surrounding natural teeth, enhancing your smile.

Due to their strength and natural appearance, tooth coloured composite veneers are becoming an increasingly popular choice with patients as they can often be completed in a single appointment visit.

PORCELAIN VENEERS

Placing finely crafted porcelain veneers is one of the most effective and popular ways our dental team can create a flawless and natural looking new smile.

A more conservative approach than many other cosmetic and restorative procedures, a porcelain veneer is bonded to the surface of your front teeth. Veneers are applied to cover irregularities, which may include chips, discoloration, gaps or as an alternative to orthodontic treatment.

Your teeth are carefully prepared by lightly buffing the surface and removing a small amount of enamel, so when your veneers are placed, they match in size and shape your surrounding natural teeth. You may receive a local anaesthetic to ensure you are comfortable, although it is not always required.

Once prepared, an impression mould is made and temporary coverings may be placed while your veneers are being fabricated at a dental laboratory.

At your next dental appointment, your veneers are assessed for fit against your gum-line and comfort prior to being secured. Regular brushing, flossing and oral hygiene appointments will ensure the longevity of your veneers and keep your new smile fresh and bright.
