Kodak Digital X-rays
This is a breakthrough in dental technology and is used to provide accurate diagnosis of dental problems. The image of the tooth and surrounding tissue can be seen on the computer screen almost instantaneously, providing us with a detailed digital image. This is much faster, safer and more comfortable than conventional X-rays. Digital X-rays offer both increased accuracy and safety, using up to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays. The image can be digitally enhanced to show otherwise hidden problems. Digital X-rays are also better for our environment – it completely eliminates the need for the typical chemicals required for regular film and x-ray processing.
Sirona Orthophos OPG
|
An Orthopantomogram, or OPG, is a special type of x-ray that looks at the lower face, teeth, jaw joints and maxillary sinuses. The teeth are displayed in a long flat line. This x-ray is useful to demonstrate the number of teeth as well as their position and growth, and is particularly useful to assess teeth that have not yet surfaced. |
Kodak 1500 Intra-oral Camera
Our state of the art, high resolution intra-oral camera instantly displays your teeth and gums in real time. This advanced technology often gives a more accurate diagnosis of tiny details such as hairline cracks or hidden decay as they are enlarged up to 100 times magnification. We have found our patients better understand their dental condition, all the options available and are much more confident to go ahead with dental treatment if it is required. The intra-oral camera is also used to show you the actual “before” and “after” of your treatment straight away. Your dental images can also be stored digitally into your dental file so that any changes to your teeth can be carefully monitored over time.
VITA Easyshade
The pressure of getting a perfect shade match has never been higher due to patients’ increased attention to esthetic appearance. Using the VITA Easyshade helps us cross check and confirm our decision of the perfect shade for all of our restorations, and smile make overs for our patients.
Rotary Endodontics
With advances in technology, root canal therapy has become very comfortable for our patients. For a more efficient and comfortable root canal treatment option, our rotary endodontics equipment electronically measures the length of your tooth, and then uses a gentle drill to clean the root canal. This means shorter chair time, more accurate treatment and less post-operative pain, and therefore more successful root canal treatments.
Zoom! Whitening
Many of our patients are looking for a whiter, brighter smile than toothpaste by itself can provide. That’s why we offer our patients a safe, cost-effective way of achieving a brilliant smile in a short time: cosmetic whitening with Zoom. We custom make the whitening trays to fit exactly around patient’s teeth. Patients put whitening gel into the tray and wear them for one hour a day everyday for 6 to 10 days depending on the type of whitening gel used. Results of home whitening vary between patients and require initial assessment and consultation from one of our dentists. Patients that are committed to following through with good oral care during and after this procedure gain longer lasting results.
Orascoptic Dental Loupes
In order to deliver better procedural outcomes, our dentists use dental loupes when necessary to enhance their vision. With a clear view, our dentists can perform procedures and exams thoroughly and safely.
Sedation Dentistry (Nitrous Oxide “Happy Gas”)
For anxious or nervous patients requiring routine dental treatment or maintenance, we offer Nitrous Oxide (Happy Gas) sedation. The gas is inhaled through a nose mask and makes you feel free from any anxiety, while still being fully aware. You will feel back to normal as soon as the procedure is finished and you can safely drive home without supervision. Our caring dental health practitioners go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable during any dental service procedure. We pride ourselves on helping those in the community who have had traumatic past experiences or a dental phobia.
Entertainment
Inside each of our advanced clinical suites, we have a variety of sources for entertainment for you and your family including television, music, magazines and IPads. Ask our staff for your personal preferences and we will try our best to meet your requirements.
